In depth pedagogical study post Covid: How to help our children avoid cabin fever.

After the success of the meeting about the art of negotiation in the family at the time of coronavirus, we had a new meeting with Dott.ssa Anna La Prova, psychologist and psychotherapist.

The in-depth study focused on “Relationship resumption after COVID: How to help our children avoid cabin fever.”

After suggesting how to find balance in between the home walls during quarantine in Phase 2, a new problem has arisen: “how to get out of the house”.

Leaving the ultimate safe place hasn’t been so immediate for everyone.

At the beginning of the pandemic we suffered an abrupt change: “we stopped” all of a sudden. This process has been destabilising for everyone: we lost the predictability of our lives, the routine, days of holiday, school times, all points of reference that give certainty to our lives. If initially this represented for the kids an opportunity for some holiday time, little by little the joy transformed into anguish: you couldn’t go out because outside there was a threat.

When then we got told “now you can go out” but with a series of precautions, that was not desirable for everyone because it did not coincide with “we are in the clear”.
